Activities Review July issue of SHKP literary magazine offers 100 top picks at Hong Kong Book Fair
Sun Hung Kai Properties set up the SHKP Book Club to cultivate a reading culture in Hong Kong. The Club puts out a free literary magazine and the latest issue recommends 100 top titles to buy at the annual Hong Kong book fair. Another story profiles some of the personalities including Financial Secretary John Tsang who will be at the fair. The main story recommends 100 books in English and Chinese grouped by fiction, city life, philosophy, politics, history, finance and biographies. It offers synopses of some of the books to people decide what to buy at the book fair. The magazine also has interviews with some of the seminar speakers at the book fair including John Tsang, Jimmy Pang, Winifred Lai and Freeman Lau talking about the economy, creative writing and books. The magazine is available for free at over 120 bookstores and 19 SHKP malls across Hong Kong, and there are copies for reading at public and school libraries.
